The Common Macaw (Ara sp.)
The Common Macaw (Ara sp.) is one of the most characteristic and beautiful birds in tropical and subtropical areas. It belongs to the order Psittaciformes, which includes about 372 species grouped into 86 genera.
These birds have strong legs with four toes and a curved, strong gray beak that is longer at the top. The beak is used for shelling and tearing tree bark and fruits.
